(D)eoxyribo(N)ucleic (A)cid

Tuesday evening we took The Duchess to see her very first live musical production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

She selected on one of her favorite dresses, lacy socks, a pair of her sassiest shoes, made sure her hair was properly sprayed into place and off we went to the theater.

While we waited for Mr. Right to pick the tickets up from will-call, I told the Duchess to go pose in front of the poster for the play. This is what I got:

Honestly...I don't know where she gets this stuff.

she is so precious!! It was at her age that Alisa told me that she no longer wanted socks with ruffles, and no more pink. I was shattered. Somehow, I cant see the Duchess going that route!

That apple didn't fall far from your tree! She's adorable!

Jennie: The Duchess seems to be pretty hardcore girly. She notices every detail of a person's outfit and wears accessories with every outfit. She owns more shoes and jewelry than I do. I'm hoping it sticks!

Andrea: It's funny, isn't it?! If I'm an apple, she's an Extra Fancy sort of one!

I guess you don't call her "The Duchess" for nothing.

Very sweet girl. :-)

What is she watching - Hannah Montana?!! And you, my dear? Germany`s next top model? hahaha
I was never that way. I wanted to be like my older brothers and wear a Texas hat and leather pants.

She has a touch of drag queen in her, for sure.

Do you remember when we were at the Funeral Home after Grammy died and the attendant there was watching your tiny one and said, "There's America's next top model!". I have to agree. She cozies up to me on the couch and touches all my rings and ear rings sayins "ooo", "aaah", etc.

I love her.

That's precious!

My sister posed like that all the time as a child - actually she still does. She hands off of light posts, and lays across benches and basically will do anything if someone gets out a camera.

Thanks for telling me about the Little House musical - I had no idea about it before.

She is rockin' her fab girly girl, fo shizzle! I can't imagine where she gets it with you being such a shy one and all;)

Lee: Thanks for the "sweet girl" comment. The Duchess is pretty sweet as well...

Angela: I was quite the Tomboy as well when I was a kid. Thus far, The Duchess seems to be all girl. It's quite a funny thing to watch her.

Wendy: Hmmm...I think she gets that from her daddy.

Linda: Yep. She notices all of the girly details. She saw a lady at the nail salon on Friday, checked her out for a couple of minutes and then walked over to her and said, "You're wearing a necklace just like my mom's." I've worn that necklace maybe twice, but she knows every piece I own.

Missy: Thank you!

Angie: It's quite funny, isn't it? It's difficult for my husband to get a real picture out of me because I always pose like an idiot. I figure it will distract people from looking at my face. Fortunately, The Duchess is much more photogenic than I.

Dawn:Yes...shyness runs in the family. We really must get over it.

I have a sister that used to model professionally. Her kids and my younger sister's kids all have their pose(s) from the time they were out of diapers. Wait a minute... so do I.
